How to Be a Productivity Master

15 practical techniques — from time-blocking and deep work to the Eisenhower Matrix and Pomodoro — for getting more done with less noise.

1. Focus on one thing. Block time on your calendar and work only on the current task.
2. Use the 3:3:3 plan — 3h on your most important project, 3h on shorter tasks, 3h on maintenance.
3. Practice deep work for at least 4h a day, distraction-free (phone on airplane mode).
4. Apply the Feynman Technique when learning something new: explain it simply, then fill the gaps.
5. Sort duties with an Eisenhower Matrix — prioritize what advances your long-term goals.
6. Batch email and messages into one to three focused windows a day.
7. Practice a skill for 20 minutes daily — after a year you'll outpace 90% of people.
8. Track everything with Getting Things Done.
9. Run a Zero Inbox policy — forward, reply, or schedule; never let it pile up.
10. Beat procrastination with Pomodoro: 25 minutes on, short break, repeat.
11. Set yearly, monthly, weekly and daily goals — without a target you won't get far.
12. Do daily and weekly reviews: what aligned with your goals, what can improve.
13. Learn to say no — one no protects room for many yeses.
14. Walk for 30 minutes every evening, ideally as a walking meditation.
15. Automate everything you reasonably can, especially repetitive tasks.
